Barclay Assessment Services, L.L.C. was formed by Michael Barclay in 2002 as the Managing Member. Michael Barclay has a Master of Science Degree in Occupational and Environmental Health from Wayne State School of Medicine and holds certifications in Industrial Hygiene from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH), and as a Safety Professional from the American Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). With over 25 years of experience in hazard recognition and assessment, he has participated in and overseen hundreds of indoor environmental quality studies. In addition, he has worked on multiple other projects including exposure assessments, microbial contamination evaluations, exposure modeling, quantitative risk assessments and research for various clients including, but not limited to, governmental agencies, legal firms, commercial and residential facilities, schools, health care facilities, and small and large-scale industries.
Our professional technical staff have achieved either a Masters or Bachelors of Science degree in Occupational or Environmental Health from an accredited university.
Prior to forming BAS, L.L.C., Mr. Barclay spent over 22 years at Shell Oil Company where he held many positions in industrial hygiene and evaluated numerous health hazards, as well as personally participated in the design and implementation of the Company's health risk assessment system. He is the Chairman of the American Industrial Hygiene Association’s Biosafety & Environmental Microbiology Committee, as well as a full member of the American Industial Hygiene Association, and has served on a number of environmental health risk task forces.
